Notes:
The late Augustus Pablo was a legend in the world of reggae
music, working with other pioneers such as King Tubby and
Bunny "Striker" Lee to invent the whole dub music genre.
A unique instrumentalist particularly on the melodica and
flute, he contributed to a new wave of reggae which was a
key influence on his peers and a lot of punk artists like
the Clash and John Lyndon.
The creator of the classic album "King Tubby Meets Rockers
Uptown" is universally acknowledged as one of reggae’s key
albums.
This thirty track set includes both classic tracks and
material from the last album, released just before his
untimely death in 1999.
