forces on this reissue of a 1975
set from Tommy
McCook and The Aggrovators backed
with three unreleased bonus dubs.
As an
original leader of the Skataites
and later the Supersonics, McCook
is a pivotal
figure in Jamaican popular music
and jazz, lending his playing to
countless
records from the early 1950s until
his death in 1998. King Tubby,
under the
instruction of Bunny Lee, rejigs a
stack of riddims to foreground the
his
assuredly laidback and happy sax,
creating a deftly melodic yet heavy
set.
