The promotion for the event at the Knoxwood Community
Centre on November 12th was not properly promoted and
so patrons were not sure if Sizzla would show up.
Geefus and Cosby represented for Stone Love. Patrons
on the outside seemed like they were waiting for
artist comformation but due to the vibes from the
juggling on the inside, they began to make their way
in. A percentage of the patronage journeyed all the
way from Kingston and it was the ladies around which
the attention was centered. Love Symbol played on
Stone Loves sound system, they too took their turn
with the ladies and a few dancers also got active.
Alaska then revolutionized the style of juggling by
first requesting the lights off. They began slow with
lighter forwards and then went into a badman style of
jugglin that got Knoxwood in a frenzy. Jason Sweetness
was the first act to the stage. He did a few covers
and called up a few more new acts. Duckman had the
crowd laughing. Veteran Quench Aid was melodious but
brief. Egg Nog performed in a Singjay format scoring
with Meet Me At The Party. Patrons rushed to front
stage with the introduction Sizzla as he took them
on a Lyrical Escapade. Bone Crusher at the sizzla show
was crucial.. made a great but short feature. Sizzla
alternated through mixing from all three sounds with
new lyrics, old lyrics, brand new lyrics and also un
-released material.In no rush, Sizzla lashed out
against the system and the situation with the Gays in
the UK declaring that he does not have to go to England
and furthermore owes them no apology. Knoxwood endorsed
his philosophy and gave Sizzla high marks for his time
on stage.
